Can you imagine what road traffic would be like without a highway code?
Can you imagine what a profession would be like without a code of conduct, without customs, without vocabulary, without indicators?
THE STORY
In 2022, Chloé Sitbon, President of the Association Les Voix, asked me (as a volunteer) to resume my work of creating a document in 2012 that brought together :
- the practices of the voice-over acting profession (Tina Sportolaro: thank you for your invaluable editorial help!)
- a glossary of the profession (I'll talk about this in a future post)
- a snapshot of salaries in the advertising voiceover sector in France.

You have no idea what a titanic task it was; it cost me dozens of sleepless nights and, alas, a burn-out...
But it was worth it.
PRODUCERS, AGENCIES, STUDIOS AND FUTURE PROFESSIONALS now have :
+ How to become a voice-over actor,
+ A dictionary to help you understand and speak the same language,
+ A working framework,
+ A basis for drawing up your quotes (bearing in mind that each project is unique and that mutual agreement prevails).
